ABOUT REBECCA
Rebecca Keltie is a 21-year retired veteran of the United States Navy committed to continuing her life-long service to our country. As the daughter of a Korean War veteran and a German (legal) immigrant, Rebecca was raised in a blue-collar family where hard work, perseverance, and love for our country was instilled from a very early age. For Rebecca, having the honor to serve as House District 16 Representative broadens her impact on our community. Colorado is at a crossroads where increased crime, including illegal immigration, impacts the safety of our communities. In addition, exorbitant taxes and inflation have resulted in unaffordability, and parental rights are under attack.
Rebecca’s vast work experience, effective ability to partner with multiple stakeholders, community engagement, and drive for success will help restore common sense leadership to Colorado. Over her extensive career, Rebecca has worked with various government and military peers including the Department of Homeland Security, Border Patrol/Protection and State/Local Law Enforcement with a focus on human and drug trafficking.
As Rebecca transitioned into civilian life, she became a small business owner for a short time and then returned to serving our country as a Department of Defense contract engineer with direct interest in national security and information technology. Additionally, Rebecca has obtained FEMA certifications in natural disaster incident command and response systems which is motivated by her commitment to community safety and security.

Rebecca is a member of the CSU Extension Advisory Board as their STEM expert and congregant of The Road at Chapel Hills. She believes strongly in giving back to her community and is an active volunteer in many local organizations including D11 Achievement Alliance which advocates for improved academics and honoring parental rights, Westside Cares who provides care and compassion to our neighbors in need, and Salvation Army where Rebecca was recently recognized for “Doing the Most Good“.
Rebecca raised two exceptional sons, both of whom followed in her footsteps by serving in the U.S. military. Like many Coloradans today, Rebecca’s life journey has included adversity, hardships, and challenges including managing single parenthood and a period of unemployment. Her relatable “lived experience”, strong work ethic, and perseverance makes her uniquely qualified to represent the House District 16 community.
FUN FACT!
Rebecca’s family history goes back to the foundation of this country. Her 6th-time removed Grandfather was George Ross. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and his nephew’s wife, Betsy Ross, was the maker of our Old Glory, the American flag. Rebecca’s father was a Korean War veteran, and her uncle was a Vietnam War veteran. When it comes to serving this country, her family has been serving since the very beginning. It’s truly in her blood.
